It’s a London derby at Craven Cottage as 10th-placed Fulham host 13th-placed Tottenham in a mid-table battle.
The Cottagers are eight points better off than their rivals, who are having a disappointing season by their standards. Spurs’ focus will now largely be on the Europa League as they have little to play for in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Fulham are just five points away from the European places and will be hoping to string some results together to power up the table.
FULHAM VS TOTTENHAM PREVIEW
Fulham and Tottenham both have mixed form entering this fixture.
The home side have won three and lost three of their last six Premier League games. They go into this fixture off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Brighton having conceded a last-minute penalty.
Spurs, meanwhile, drew 2-2 at home to Bournemouth last weekend. They come into this game following a 3-1 win against AZ in the Europa League on Thursday. Despite this boost, it does mean Fulham will be the fresher of the two sides.
The reverse fixture at White Hart Lane in December finished in a 1-1 draw and this would not be a surprising result again.
Sasa Lukic won’t feature for Fulham after accruing 10 yellow cards. Keny Tete, Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson are all out through injury, while doubts persist over Adama Traore.
Tottenham defender Kevin Danso is out through injury, while this game will likely come too early for Dejan Kulusevski. Richarlison and Radu Dragusin are also absent.
Sergio Reguilon and Timo Werner return from injury, while Rodrigo Bentancur could be back from suspension, having not featured against AZ.
FULHAM VS TOTTENHAM PREDICTIONS
Fulham Win
The two main advantages Fulham have are the home crowd and fresher legs. They have not played since last weekend and while Spurs were impressive against AZ on Thursday, it may have taken a lot out of them. Fulham won the corresponding fixture last season 3-0.
Draw
The reverse fixture at White Hart Lane was a 1-1 draw, while there is little separating the two sides in the table. This suggests Sunday’s encounter could be evenly matched.
Tottenham Win
The last time Tottenham and Fulham drew 1-1 at White Hart Lane, Spurs won 1-0 at Craven Cottage later that season. History could repeat itself here. Only Liverpool (69) have scored more goals than Spurs (55) in the league this season so they are always a threat.
FULHAM VS TOTTENHAM – BETTING TIPS
Fulham Win
This game is ultimately a toss-up, but Spurs will likely be tired following their midweek European exploits. Fulham should also be able to utilise home advantage.
Both Teams To Score (BTTS)
Both teams have scored in six of Fulham’s last seven games in all competitions, while Tottenham have an impressive goal scoring record. With 41 goals conceded, Spurs struggle to keep clean sheets too.
Most Goals – Second Half
Spurs are likely to tire, so I expect more goals to come in the second half.
Fulham conceded a last-minute penalty against Brighton last time out while Spurs scored two in the second half to secure a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
FULHAM VS TOTTENHAM – HEAD-TO-HEAD AND KEY STATS
There have been 106 games between the two sides, with Spurs winning 55 and Fulham winning 20. There have been 31 draws.
Tottenham have won six of the last 10 league meetings between the two sides, losing just once.
Fulham are unbeaten in their last two Premier League games against Tottenham, but lost 14 of 16 before this.
Fulham have lost four of their last eight Premier League games. Before this, they had lost four of their opening 20 games.
Tottenham have lost every one of their last five Premier League games on a matchday just before an international break. This includes a 3-0 defeat at Fulham last season.
Tottenham have won their last two away games in the Premier League. They’ll be looking to make it three in a row for the first since November 2020.
