π PREVIEW FOR LIVERPOOL VS PSG
Fresh from extending their lead in the Premier League from 13 points to 15, Liverpool turn their attention back to the Champions League when they host PSG on Tuesday evening.
Itβs fair to say that Liverpool were incredibly lucky in the first leg, performing a smash and grab raid at the Parc des Princes. This gives themselves a 1-0 lead going into this second leg.
However, Arne Slotβs men will know that the tie could very easily be turned around, with PSG stinging after their dominant performance last week went unrewarded.
Harvey Elliottβs goal three minutes from time gives the Reds a slender 1-0 lead to defend at Anfield. This was Liverpoolβs second shot of the evening, while PSG had 27 at the other end. Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was forced into making nine saves in a man-of-the-match performance. Add all this up and the French side will travel to the North-West looking for revenge.
Both teams enter this fixture on the back of comfortable wins. Liverpool beat Southampton 3-1 in the Premier League at the weekend while PSG won 4-1 against Rennes.
Dominik Szoboszlai should start for Liverpool despite being withdrawn early against Southampton, but Cody Gakpo is a doubt.
Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes and Gianluigi Donnarumma should return for PSG after being rested against Rennes.

β½ LIVERPOOL VS PSG PREDICTION
π FINAL RESULT β WHO WILL PREVAIL?
β
Liverpool Win
The Reds may have been lucky against PSG in the first leg, but they have home advantage. They are also unbeaten at Anfield in the Champions League this season. Being 15 points ahead in the Premier League, they can fully focus on Champions League success.
βοΈ Draw
PSG dominated against Liverpool last week and were unlucky to lose. If they display a similar performance here, then they are more than capable of getting a draw.
π₯ Newcastle United Win
PSG need to win to progress and only need one goal to level the tie on aggregate. They should have won last week and if they play to the same level, surely wonβt be as unlucky again. Resting many of their star men over the weekend could also be to their advantage.
β½ TOTAL GOALS OVER/UNDER
π₯ Over 2.5 Goals
There have been over 2.5 goals in three of the five meetings between the two sides in history, including two of the last three.
π Under 2.5 Goals
Only one goal settled the tie last week. With Alisson in fine form, he could keep a clean sheet again. Both teamsβ defences are also exceptionally strong.
π€ BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
β
Yes
Liverpool have scored a league-leading 69 goals in the Premier League this season, with PSG having scored 70. With Mohamed Salah and Ousmane DembΓ©lΓ© respectively, they have the current leading strikers in their respective leagues.
π« No
Twenty-seven shots and no goals suggests wasteful striking on the behalf of PSG as only Liverpool scored last week.
β ANYTIME GOALSCORERS
β‘ Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
The scorer of two penalties against Southampton at the weekend, Salah is the Premier Leagueβs Golden Boot leader with 27 goals and 17 assists this season. Despite failing to have a single shot against PSG last week, and having failed to score in three games against the French side, hopes are still high he will break his duck here.
π― Ousmane DembΓ©lΓ© (PSG)
DembΓ©lΓ© has netted 20 goals in Ligue 1 this campaign including two stoppage time strikes against Rennes on Saturday. He is a man in form and will be hungry to beat Alisson after his fine performance last week.
