Spurs travel to Molineux to take on an in-form Wolves side in the Premier League on Sunday.

Wolves will be looking to put their Premier League survival beyond doubt when they host an erratic Tottenham Hotspur side at Molineux on Sunday.

The Midlands club are on a three-match winning streak in the Premier League. They are also unbeaten in four. This has seen them pull away from the relegation zone, with 12 points now separating themselves and the bottom three.

They will be hoping to extend this run by beating a Spurs outfit that are having a poor season. Their form has been mixed and they go into this game having won one and lost three of their last five Premier League matches. Only three places and five points separate the two sides so Vítor Pereira’s men will be confident of securing a result.

Furthermore, Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday night. With the second leg next week, manager Ange Postecoglou may have one eye on this fixture and could rest key players here.

WOLVES VS TOTTENHAM PREVIEW

The two sides shared an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this season.

Hwang Hee-chan put the visitors in front, only for Rodrigo Bentancur to equalise five minutes later. Brennan Johnson struck for the hosts just before half-time but Jørgen Strand Larsen levelled for Wolves three minutes from time.

Wolves performed a smash-and-grab raid at Molineux in last season’s corresponding fixture. Johnson had put Spurs ahead in the third minute but goals from Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina deep into stoppage time saw Wolves win 2-1.

Wolves certainly have the upper hand in recent fixtures, winning three and drawing one of the last four. They have only lost once to Spurs in their last six games. Spurs have also lost their last two away games in the Premier League to Wolves.

Matheus Cunha will return for Wolves following a four-match suspension. This means manager Pereira has a big call to make on Jørgen Strand Larsen, who has scored four times in recent matches.

Spurs have no new injury concerns. Dejan Kulusevski and Kevin Danso were ‘touch and go’ for the Frankfurt game on Thursday and may or may not feature here.

With everything in the balance following a 1-1 draw against the German side in the Europa League, Ange Postecoglou may opt to rotate his squad for the Wolves game to rest key players.

WOLVES VS TOTTENHAM – PREDICTIONS

Wolves Win
The recent head-to-head record and current form both favour Wolves. They also have the greater need for the three points. Spurs could rest players ahead of next week’s second leg against Frankfurt.

Draw
Spurs are a dangerous side and the two teams shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw earlier this season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Win
On their day, Tottenham can beat anyone – just ask Manchester City, who they hammered 4-0 at the Etihad back in November. Despite this, Spurs’ current away form is poor, having lost their last three games on the road in all competitions.

WOLVES VS TOTTENHAM – BETTING TIPS

Wolves Win
Wolves have home advantage and momentum going into this game, while Spurs have been their typical erratic selves. Wolves have a greater need for points too, wanting to put more clear water between themselves and the bottom three.

Spurs will likely have one eye on next Thursday’s Europa League fixture following a frustrating draw in the first leg. Kaua Santos was excellent in the Frankfurt goal, single-handedly denying Tottenham the win. They will want to put this right next week, so their focus may not be on this game.

Over 2.5 Goals
Premier League games involving Wolves and Tottenham have been the highest scoring this season. Wolves games have seen 102 goals, with them scoring 43 and conceding 59. Tottenham games have seen 103 goals, with them scoring 58 and conceding 45. All of this suggests goals… or maybe a 0-0 draw.

Jørgen Strand Larsen to Score
The Norwegian has scored four goals in Wolves’ last three Premier League games, with him finding the net in each one. He netted the winner at Ipswich last time out and will relish his chances against a Spurs defence that has shipped 45 goals this season. With Matheus Cunha’s return, he could be dropped to the bench, but on current form, it’s hard to see how.
